Last month we brought our exhibitors (and our know-how) on display at Zoomark International, one of the most important fairs dedicated to the pet sector, a world in constant growth and increasingly demanding.
From 10 to 12 November we took part in Zoomark International, one of the two most important trade fairs for the pet sector. This year's edition saw the participation of over 450 exhibitors, more than half of whom came from abroad, a very positive figure given the limitations that the pandemic is imposing on travel between different geographical areas of the world.
The impression we had was that of being in front of a rapidly expanding market, almost in ferment. Confirmation comes from the report that Assalco, the National Association of Companies for the Feeding and Care of Companion Animals, presented at the inaugural conference of the fair. The numbers speak for themselves: last year, 1 million Italian families took in a dog or cat, while the turnover related to feeding our four-legged friends grew, depending on the distribution channels, by between 8% and 6%. Moreover, according to Euromonitor, in Italy there are an estimated 62 million pets, of which more than 16 million are dogs and cats.
Like every edition, this one was an opportunity to meet our customers and present to them, and to many others potentially interested, the latest news in terms of exhibitors. Inside our stand we gave space to the main types, entrusting to a slideshow and a dedicated brochure our extensive catalog of display systems made for many brands in the industry.
Depending on the life expectancy and type of product, the display unit can be made of MDF or cardboard. The first one, more durable, can be reassorted countless times while the second one, less resistant, is more suitable for short-lived promotions. The type of material does not affect either the shape of the display or the degree of customization, which is almost absolute, both in terms of finishes and graphics.
The display stand can be suitable for floor or counter-top, it can have several rows of hooks from which to hang the product (such as leashes, collars or various accessories) or it can have a shelf display. It can be designed to turn around and/or rotate on itself, it can be single-sided, if intended for a wall or aisle header, or double-sided, because perhaps it will be placed near a display case.
Over time, we have put ourselves to the test with the most creative shape, which are much more effective from a communicative point of view and are also easy to obtain in wood, thanks to the numerically controlled cutting bench at our disposal.
The next unmissable appointment with the world of pets is in Nuremberg, in May next year, with the Interzoo fair. We will obviously be there, with many new case histories related to a sector that has been giving us great satisfaction for years.
